ABOUT OUR CEO
Charles "Chip" Mather, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.)

As President and CEO of Life Cycle Sustainment Solutions Inc. (LCSS), Chip is seeking to bring his team's Government acquisition expertise to the industry side of the equation. LCSS was created to help streamline the requirement to fulfillment cycle by matching suppliers and Government agencies through the innovative use of existing system authorities and flexibilities. LCSS was formed to first deliver trusted, superior service to both our Government and Industry with the bonus of our partners receiving Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business credit.
Chip founded Acquisition Solutions with the mission to help federal agencies significantly improve their acquisition processes and more importantly their results. His vision was to build a team focused on transforming federal contracting from what had traditionally been viewed as a transaction based compliance orientated overhead function, into a strategic asset delivering true mission value and savings. Starting with two employees in 1996 Acquisition Solutions grew to over 150 employees with revenues of nearly $30 million by 2008 when it was acquired by a private equity firm.
Prior to co-founding Acquisition Solutions, Chip enjoyed a 18 and a half year career with the United States Air Force before his medical retirement in 1995. With assignments in the Air Force Computer Acquisition Center (AFCAC), The Secretary of the Air Force Contracting Staff, and the Air Force Standard Systems Center, Chip's career was focused on awarding and successfully managing many of the agency's high dollar, technically complex information technology contracts. A frequent speaker and member of numerous work groups and reform panels, Chip was recognized as an innovator and one of the most original thinkers in Government acquisition.
